But they raise the fear of someone using such a rifle to make an incredibly long-range shot, a feat of effectively Olympian proportions. Unless we’re afraid that Rob Furlong - a former corporal of the Canadian Forces who held the record for the longest confirmed sniper kill in combat - is going to go rogue, it would take thou-sands of hours of practice (at about $10 per bullet) to gain that level of skill - a commitment criminals simply don’t have.
